Life is our Classroom Layout

I made this whimsical layout for the My Creative Classroom challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2. You needed to use the word "classroom" in your project. I was inspired to use the word "classroom" because we homeschool, and even though we definitely have "school time" each day, we all know that we are all constantly learning new things with each new experience.

I used Design Studio to cut out the title with Lyrical Letters--one of my favorite font cartridges. So many great fonts on that cart!

The supplies (and part of the LO idea) were from a kit from My Personal Scrapper. Love the colors and patterns.

This big scalloped circle was something new I tried with Design Studio. I made the scalloped circle huge and slid it way over on the mat (on the computer screen) and cut it out.

I used the negative image so I still have this great design element for another layout out of that great lettered pattern:

I added rhinestones and awesome dimensional flower stickers.

The great thing about machine stitching is that it doesn't have to be perfect and it still looks good.

Pirate Octopus Birthday Card

Ahoy, mateys!

I made this card for the challenges at Fantabulous Cricut (make a pirate-themed project) and Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog (sketch and use twine or embroidery floss). I put the October on an Action Wobble so he wiggles and wobbles so sweetly!

Adorable face from Peachy Keen Boy Mates. Sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps (also the Baker's Twine), embossed in black.

Life Saver Treat Box

I haven't posted for awhile...we are back to school and very busy! I am crafting, though...cricutting notebook covers and embroidering back to school goodies and such.

I worked on straightening up my craft room today (and vacuumed and mopped and cleaned the kitchen and did dishes....). This is my little project I made to reward myself for cleaning so much. :)

From the Cutting Cafe, comes this sweet little design of the Lufe Saver Box and digital stamps.

I also embossed the wrappers.

My daughter wanted to make one, too. We used a MS punch on the lid of the box. Didn't she choose great colors?
