Girly Name Album

This my favorite name album so far.  I made it for a client.  I just love the colors she chose!  Gray, aqua, pink, a little purple.  So bright and pretty.

Knitted Cabled Pumpkins

I saw these knitted, cabled pumpkins on Pinterest and I absolutely had to make them. Do you ever get obsessed with the idea of creating a project or am I the only crazy one? :-)

Well, it turns out that this is a great kit from Mary Maxim with everything you need to make this project, except for the polyfil (or stuffing). I thought the kit was very reasonably priced especially since you make two pumpkins with it! I love all of the details on this project. I have always liked this burnt orange color, and the jute and burlap ribbon for the leaves are very sweet without being too country for me. :) Happy Fall!

Pretty Pony Overalls

I loved these sweet Pretty Pony designs from Embroidery Library.  The raggedy applique alphabet is from Lynnie Pinnie.

I opened up one seam to do the pant leg.  As you can see, the design came out perfectly!

It was so much fun giving these as a Christmas gift.

Baseball Bling

We went to a week long baseball tournament last summer.  This called for some serious baseball bling!!!  My daughter and I found this adorable project on Pinterest (where else?) and just had to make our own.  We watched this TUTORIAL which really helped.  We did resort to clear gorilla glue to adhere the flowers to the straps and clamped binder clips to hold it all together until cured.
I was so pleased at how easily my machine embroidered the baseball leather.  This was a little big for a keychain.  It has found a new home as a luggage tag on my son's suitcase. :)

Here is one of the cuffs I made.  I just used embroidery floss to re-stitch the seams (also for the keychain) and stitched an elastic loop to one end and a button to the other.  I always get compliments on my baseball bling!
I loved getting a baseball pedicure first thing before we had our first game.
Very festive!

Last of the Dance Recital Projects

Here are the last of the projects I made for the dance recital.  This gift bag and card were for my daughter. This was her first dance recital and she had a blast.  The image above was cut from the Twinkle Toes cartridge and I embossed the turquoise cardstock.

Below is a card that was also made from the Twinkle Toes cartridge.  I love that lacy scalloped oval!! I will have to use it in the future for other cards.  The roses were from Art Philosophy.  I just glued this to an oval card base from the Art Philosophy cartridge. Simple!

Tiny Dancer Card

This card I gave to my 3-yr-old granddaughter who was dancing in her first recital.  The mouse is from the Twinkle Toes cartridge as well as the sentiment.  She is on an action wobble, so she really dances!!  I glittered her bow with stickles and added a rhinestone for some bling on her necklace.

Bravo! Artiste Swing Card

These are fun, dimensional cards with a unique cut. This is from the Artiste cartridge from Close to My Heart.  The great stamps (the pink rosette is just one color) come with the cartridge.  I love how easy it is to cut Cricut images that will fit the stamps perfectly.  This card was made for Joy's dance instructor after the dance recital.

Cute Christmas Princesses were a fairly quick in-the-hoop embroidery project.  I purchased the designs from Lynnie Pinnie.  They are fun to personalize and will be nice little keepsakes when the girls are older to remember that they will always be our little princesses.

Etched Casserole Dish and Matching Carrier and Card

I needed a birthday gift for a special friend....and what woman could resist a personalized casserole dish and carrier?  I found this awesome set at my Publix for less than $20.
I used a free font I found online for the embroidery Here as well as to cut out of contact paper with my cricut with Sure Cuts A Lot.

And here is the matching card:
Don't you just love red roses?  And these are stickled so they have bling!
I also embossed this shimmery black cardstock:
The cuts are both from Art Philosophy I think.

Baby Girl Album - Artbooking

This is a mini album made from the Artbooking cartridge.  I love that all the measurements stay perfectly proportional as long as you keep the dial size on the one specified and don't change it.  Takes the guesswork out of it.  The butterfly on the front is from Art Philosophy.  I also added the baby's name in pink to the floral tag.

The animals are so cute and the envelopes are fantastic for keepsakes from when baby was born...an umbilical cord clamp or hospital ID bracelets.
Love the animal print overlay on this cartridge.

This is a pocket that would be perfect for storing extra photos:

Sports Jersey T-shirt Memory Quilt

This has to be one of my favorite projects ever!  I love all the memories that are captured in this. I have t-shirts starting when he was 3 all the way to age 12!  I followed the instructions from a video tutorial by Missouri Star, only I made it much bigger so it would fit an extra long twin bed (he could take it to college one day!) It was reeeeeally time consuming, but worth it in the end.  With the basketball jerseys (tank top style) I had to add some fabric to the square.  I really love the squares that have his name on them and the button-down jerseys, too.  I think the black sashing really unifies it all.  This thing is crazy cozy---I use a soft fleece on the back.  I also quilted a big "x" across each square.  I pieced together a square of sleeves with patches and stars, too.  The hardest part was trying not to melt the numbers as I ironed on the squares to the stabilizer.  I hope my boy loves this for many, many years to come.

Butterick (B4251) Tepee Sewing Project

This was a crazy, last minute (have I mentioned insane??) project in the couple of weeks before Christmas!  But how fun!  And what a great surprise to wake up to on Christmas morning.  I used THIS Butterick pattern.  I ordered the indoor/outdoor material from fabric.com I think for only a few dollars a yard (which is good because you need a lot).  I went crazy trying to find 6 bamboo poles and we ended up cutting them down and adhering them to pvc pipes on the inside.  I also added this fun, beaded upholstery trim across the front.  It folds to basically the size of the bundled poles so it doesn't have to be up all of the time.  It is also big, which is nice cause my kids are older.

Hippie Frog Gift

My sister likes frogs (and we think she is a bit of a hippie---so am I!).  This was another design from Embroidery Library.  I wasn't sure how it would turn out on the black, but I like it!  I did re-embroider a couple of colors that weren't showing up so well.  I also used hotfix crystals on the eyes.  Funky frog!
