I used the Forever Young cartridge for the pretty fancy oval shape and added rhinestones. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the shell corners. Of course, I used my Scrappy Moms Stamp for the sentiment on the tag (from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More). My trusty stickles (in Orange Peel and Yellow) from scrapbook.com also added "bling" to the flame.

Wrap it Up Candle Birthday Card
Here is the card I made for the challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2 to use the candle off of the Wrap it Up cartridge and the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut to trim a project with a tag.

Baseball Gear Storage Crate
There is a sports-themed contest from My Pink Stamper over at Bitten by the Bug 2. I was trying to think of something practical I could make for my baseball-fanatic-son. Recently, I was also trying to think of a good way to recycle these things:
You know, the things so-yummy-my-family-can't-stop-eating-them clementines come in. I removed the labels, netting, and extra staples (the ones not holding the crate together).
And covered the sides with cardstock and made this:
I used the Sports Mania cartridge for the images, Peachy Keen stamps for the faces (I like how worried the glove is that the mean baseball is comin' at him!), and Pooh Font (Marker) for the lettering.
The practical use for this will be to have something attractive to stow Cade's miscellaneous belts, (clean) socks, other-gear-we-won't mention ;) on top of my washing machine so he knows where they are as he's getting ready for practice or a game.
These little crates could be used for so many fun storage ideas.
Merry Christmas!!

Sweet Crocheted Ponchos
I made these for my sweet nieces (2 & 4) for Christmas. I will have to add a picture of them in them after I give them to them. The chocolate and pink colors are so yummy!

Etched Christmas Plates
I am so excited to share with you how I finally got some pretty Christmas dishes (from the Dollar Store)! I am thrilled with the way they came out. I chose images off of the cartridges Christmas Village and Christmas Noel. Vinyl Transfer Tape made my life so much easier, especially on the images with the pretty scrollwork. I used Armour Etch glass etching cream and left it on for a short while (maybe 15 minutes). I have found that the stuff from the Dollar Tree etches really well for me. These plates are pretty heavy, too, for being so inexpensive. Enjoy!

"Winter" Layout
Great timing on this fun challenge from the MAG Challenge Blog. I chose the pretty "Winter" with a little snowman sitting on the flourish. This is a page that is going in my December Daily Album this year. I used a shimmery gold paper and put little pearls on for buttons and tiny wiggle eyes, too. Hope you like it!
