Chic Baby Blanket, Pink and Zebra

Made this for a dear friend and it is soooo "her"!  Can't wait to give it to her.  I wanted to share since I love the way the embossed backdrop (Shield 7 from Embroidery Library) really lets the text be read so easily even on this crazy plush fabric.  Takes about an extra 30 minutes of embroidery time, but so worth it, I think.  :)

Baby Girl Album - Artbooking

This is a mini album made from the Artbooking cartridge.  I love that all the measurements stay perfectly proportional as long as you keep the dial size on the one specified and don't change it.  Takes the guesswork out of it.  The butterfly on the front is from Art Philosophy.  I also added the baby's name in pink to the floral tag.

 

 The animals are so cute and the envelopes are fantastic for keepsakes from when baby was born...an umbilical cord clamp or hospital ID bracelets.

 Love the animal print overlay on this cartridge.

Chic Butterfly Embroidery for Baby

I love how these designs came out.  One of the best parts is that the designs (from Embroidery Library) are one color, so they stitch up quickly.  I was especially going for a sophisticated look with the pink, black, and silver.

Knit Elephant Lovie

 This was such a fun project.  I worked on this guy over a couple of vacations while traveling or during downtime.  This is an awesome free pattern I found HERE.  I used Caron Simply Soft yarn for the pink and gray and some white cotton that I had in my stash.  I can't wait for my new grandbaby to snuggle up with this sweet friend.

Disney Designs

A friend (whose daughter just had her second bday) was telling me how much she lived Minnie Mouse. I wanted to make something for her baby, too. So here is his bib and her pillowcase. The pics highlight the wrinkles, so they're much cuter in real life, but you get the idea. :)


Rick rack takes every project to the next level of cuteness, in my opinion!





These were built in designs on my Brother Disney embroidery machine (which I've never used). I found my manual, which had the color charts and was so pleased with how quickly and easily they stitched up.

Frog Themed Baby Gifts

I made a bunch of froggie gifts for baby boys using one of my fav designs from Embroidables.

Turtle Time

We studied sea turtles for a couple of weeks for our Swimming Creatures of the 5th Day Science co-op. I found this adorable cupcake cake at Betty Crocker. I mostly followed the directions except I used google eyes (which I like way more for a cutesy turtle). The kids loved it and I think
It would be great for a baby shower or beach party, too.


Here was another craft I found using terra cotta saucers and paint and craft foam: Crafts For Kids Sea Turtle


I gave the kids foam brushes and several shades of yellow, green, and, brown paint and it was really cool to see some do patterns and others do "abstract", each one a unique creation.

Baby Owl Bib Gift Set

The Wide Eyed Baby Girl Owl from Embroidery Library was my inspiration for this set.



I found the fabric in my stash and used it both for the trim on the burp cloth and the flower appliqué.


Orange isn't normally my favorite color, but I love it with the pink. The owl was time-consuming, but worth it!

Sweet Cherries Bib

This was made for a girlfriend's baby soon-to-be-born. Isn't that such a sweet name, especially cause her daddy's name is Ryan? The design is from Sewing for Sarah. I got the shiny red buttons specifically for this one. Love how it came out!

Loaded Diaper Cake

This was a blast to make. Joy helped me roll over 100 diapers to form this cake. The core contains a tub of baby wipes and a bottle of pedialyte. The recipe card is off From My Kitchen. Have a great Sunday!

Hello Kitty Font Onesie

I got the Hello Kitty Font cartridge and knew it would be perfect for my stepdaughter's bound-to-be-girly baby girl due at the beginning of April. I used Heat 'n Bond to fuse the fabric. It didn't cut perfectly, but it wasn't too bad, either. I was able to make a few snips here and there and shape up the letters nicely. Is the flower on the back cute? I hope so.
